All sounds and images by Dustin Krcatovich. The cover photograph was taken at the Painted Canyon Visitor Center/Rest Stop at Theodore Roosevelt National Park in western North Dakota, a recommended stop if you want to be gobsmacked by natural beauty and also "have a slash", as the Brits say. It was taken on July 4, 2022, a day that I mostly spent alone driving across "Big Sky Country". Except for the environmental impact, this is maybe the best thing you could do with Independence Day (a bullshit holiday).
