Recorded March 30, 2022. The guitar is now back in full force.

Improvised live with no overdubs. Slathered in reverb, delay, and some light touch mixing/mastering in post. I decided that the more nuanced control one can get by adding the reverb and delay in the mixing process was preferable to the "immediacy" of using hardware for the same effects; it also made it less likely for the recording to get messed up by clipping and the like.

The photo on the cover is of Ann Arbor's legendary West Park bandshell. In the 1960s/70s, West Park was a regular site of free concerts, often hosted by the White Panther Party/Rainbow People's Party. It goes without saying that the MC5 played West Park a lot, but if you peek around, there are also photos of the Grateful Dead playing there on what I believe was their first visit to Michigan.
